2022 Polaris Ranger After a year of seeing more consumers engaged in outdoor activities than ever before, Polaris Off-Road has unveiled its 2022 model year line-up for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with new models, colors options, and upgrades in RANGER, RZR, GENERAL. and the Sportsman brand.
The 2022 flagship series are the all-new RANGER SP 570 and RANGER Diesel Deluxe, taking the industry’s No.1 utility-selling side-by-side vehicle to the next level with user-inspired innovation and advancement.
The RANGER 570 has been the go-to choice for farmers, landowners, and outdoor enthusiasts for more than a decade, and now, with rider-inspired features to deliver increased capability, comfort and rideability, the new mid-sized RANGER SP 570 goes even further. louder and smoother ride than ever before.
Redesigned from the ground up, the RANGER SP 570 features a bold and updated style along with several rider-inspired upgrades. The redesigned cargo box is nearly 30 percent larger, providing class-leading volume with a one-handle tailgate for quick and easy access to load and unload cargo. Integrated tie-downs, slots for cargo dividers, and Lock & Ride attachment points allow users to secure cargo easily and maximize utility.
Weighing in well above its weight, the Prostar 570cc’s proven double-overhead-cam engine has class-leading power along with a new CVT system, twice longer belt life, and an upgraded and reset clutch system for increased rideability at high speeds. low. The all-new suspension provides a ground clearance of 25.4 cm, a tighter turning radius, and a compact width of 144.5 cm, giving the 570 a best-in-class combination of maneuverability and capability.
With nearly 75 liters of onboard storage, including a cell phone holder, closed storage case, map or tablet pocket, and a large, tightly closed glove box, riders can take everything they need for the trip. The cab is built around the user: The dashboard has been moved to the rear to provide more knee room and there’s a new, quieter exhaust system so riders can enjoy conversation while the vehicle is moving.
Polaris is also offering 40 new accessories for the RANGER SP 570, along with four new accessory collections: Landlord, Farm, Hunt, and Trail. Riders now have more options than ever for customization based on how they use their vehicle. With the launch of the RANGER SP 570, comes the introduction of Polaris Pro Shield cab components to the lineup. Polaris’s tightest cab sealing system reduces noise, water, and dust from the cab for maximum rider comfort. Additionally, riders can enjoy their favorite tracks wirelessly via the JBL® Trail 4.0 audio system.
The RANGER SP 570 comes in three color options for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, including Sage Green, Hunter Edition in Polaris Pursuit Camo, and Nordic Pro Edition in Black Pearl with heating and in-cab winch.
2022 Polaris Ranger Review
We spend a lot of time talking about the heavy hitters in the UTV world. Machines like the Polaris Ranger 1000 and Can-Am Defender HD10 make headlines, but not everyone needs a big UTV. Those with tight gates, trails, or a tight budget might find more love in a mid-range bruise like the 2022 Polaris Ranger SP 570. The updated UTV brings new styling, a larger cargo box, and an agile footprint to wear in an often overlooked segment. We joined Polaris in Minnesota for a closer look and a quick ride.
First, some numbers. At 56 inches wide, the Ranger SP 570 is 2 inches narrower than before. The engineers also gave the vehicle a significantly tighter turning radius of 12.7 feet while maintaining excellent suspension travel—9 inches at the front and 10 inches at the rear. There’s also a solid 11-inch ground clearance compared to the outgoing rig’s 10-inch. These springs are useful in rough terrain, as are the height-adjustable dual-speed springs, but hobby growers will be more than happy with the 1,500-pound crane capacity and 500-pound box capacity. By the way, the gas relief dump now offers 12 cubic feet of the cargo area. It’s 20 percent larger than before, and designers ditched the tricky two-latch tailgate for one automotive-style piece.
Power comes from a 567cc engine that’s a leftover from last year, but engineers borrowed some parts from the Ranger 1000 to build a smoother and more powerful clutch system. More importantly, they installed an updated exhaust which is significantly quieter than before. No more screaming over the engine. The electrical system also received some love in the form of a battery that’s now three times larger than before, up to 575 amps of the cool crank, and paired with a 660-watt stator for a shorter time on battery tenders.
That electrical system enables a hermetically sealed cabin in the $16,999 NorthStar trim, complete with heating. There’s no AC option at this point, and you won’t get power windows, but you will get a front stabilizer bar, a 3,500-pound winch with synthetic straps, and an optional plow kit.
Inside, there is a surprising amount of space considering the size of the vehicle. Polaris pushes the dashboard forward and reorganizes the seat and seating position for more legroom. The bench is now contoured with updated foam and lumbar support, all aimed at reducing fatigue. It’s a comfortable place to spend time, and the large under-seat storage means you can carry all the gear you need for the day without having to retreat to the warehouse. Otherwise, the interior is very usable, with cheap-feeling plastic all over. That’s a minor gripe on a vehicle that starts at $10,999.
With a claimed dry weight of 1,139 pounds, the 44 hp single-cylinder engine doesn’t have to work as hard to get your speed up. The Ranger SP 570 feels bold and vibrant with a smooth progressive throttle. Manual steering is slow, likely to get you out of trouble with such a narrow, but predictable wheelbase.
We didn’t have a chance to tow a trailer or find out how the Ranger SP 570 performs with a load, but we did get to run some trails. We’ve never laughed so hard behind the wheel. The suspension is better than it should be, refusing to come out of even the toughest of antics. And at just 44 hp, you’re more likely to open the throttle than not, chuckling all the time. It’s everything you loved about the first time you got behind the wheel of a golf cart, now with real power.
The selectable all-wheel-drive system works well, seamlessly switching between all-wheel drive, two-wheel drive, and grass modes, which unlocks the rear differential to keep grass intact during sharp turns. The all-wheel-drive turns the Ranger SP 570 into a playful ram, climbing steep, loose inclines and tiptoeing through rock gardens without scratching its belly.
Is Ranger SP 570 for everyone? No, but with incredible abilities and great fun, whatever you want or need. We can’t wait to do it.

The Ranger XP 1000 line adds 21 hp, bigger wheels and tires, and a more capable suspension to the base Ranger 1000 to create a work rig that feels both fun and hardworking. If your only goal is choring, the Ranger 1000 is a cheaper bet that will more than achieve your goal.
But for our money, the Ranger XP 1000 is the ticket. With available HVAC, three throttle modes, Ride Command, and up to 30-inch tires, the XP 1000 lineup is for someone who wants more than the glorified Gator.

2022 Polaris Ranger Release Date
Polaris usually releases its new line to the public in July and vehicles start arriving at dealerships in August. This may also apply to the 2022 RANGER NorthStar, but the current lack of availability and the new dynamics of preorder purchases could lead us to a very different type of product launch.
What happens when the new Polaris RANGER 2022 is released while people are still waiting for their 2021 Polaris RANGER models? Polaris had to ship this 2021 model first, further delaying the actual release of the 2022 model lineup.
Would you like to have a Polaris RANGER NorthStar this year? If you wait until the 2022 model launch, it will be too late. The smart thing to do is to preorder the RANGER you want right now. If you happen to find one that you can get sooner or decide you don’t want it after it arrives, you can still get your money back.
2022 Polaris Ranger Price and Where to Buy
We got the long-range 2021 Ranger XP 1000 Trail Boss last year, and it arrived bone stock, with half mesh doors, no roof or windshield, and no winch. Since then, we’ve added all of those things, and it’s a much better rig for it. For all of that, we have a rig that would cost at best $26,000 to build.
For $24,799, Polaris is selling the XP 1000 NorthStar Edition Premium, which doesn’t use 29-inch Trail Boss tires in favor of the 27s, but adds full doors, windshield, crank windows, winch, and HVAC. That’s a solid deal, and creature comforts are the difference between pulling a comfortable all-day shift and being tired, dirty, and miserable. If you want every bell and whistle, the NorthStar Edition Ultimate adds a flip-out windshield, 29-inch tires, electric windows, and Ride Command for $27,799.
